This is an original, one-of-a-kind painting by Norfolk, Connecticut-based artist John Funt entitled Tulips in a Faience Bowl , 2025. Featuring a vintage wood frame chosen by the artist specifically for the painting. From the artist: "When I found this tureen at a tag sale there were vestiges of green florists' tape and tiny scratches inside the bottom of the piece. I carry on the tradition of using it for arrangements--without the soup--and try in this painting to capture the lime and garnet tones of the tulips as they continue to grow in water."
