This is an original, one-of-a-kind painting by Norfolk, Connecticut-based artist John Funt entitled The Porcelain Bird , 2026. Featuring a vintage wood frame chosen by the artist specifically for the painting. From the artist: "I am an avid admirer and often a collector of animal sculpture, particularly bronzes and Chinese porcelains. I am spellbound by the colors the Chinese have used in their porcelains throughout history. One of the joys of still life painting for me is enshrining a favorite object; this bird was inspired by one I spotted in an old auction catalogue from the 1960's (I also collect those!)."
