This is an original, one-of-a-kind painting by Norfolk, Connecticut-based artist John Funt entitled Anthurium, 2023. Featuring a vintage wood frame chosen by the artist specifically for the painting. From the artist: " This plant subject made a short trip from the shady corner of my greenhouse to the side of my easel this past winter. It is an old friend with good years and not so good. This year it outdid itself producing fresh, glossy pinked-edged leaves. Its basket is African, its stark viridian backdrop a favorite color of Van Gogh."
